Stonehenge - Private Viewing at Sunset

Private Viewing of Stonehenge
Most visitors to Stonehenge are not allowed direct access to the stone circle. On this special day trip from London, you'll be invited to enter the stone circle itself and stand beside the mysterious rocks towering above you. Your expert guide will unlock the secrets of this ancient UNESCO World Heritage Listed monument. Enjoy the peace, away from the crowds, as you experience Stonehenge at its atmospheric best at sunrise. Availability is strictly limited so book early, as private viewings regularly sell out and operate on selected days only.

The Tour

After your mini coach pick-up direct from or near to your central London hotel, we drive straight to Stonehenge, missing any rush hour traffic. We enter the stone circle (which is normally roped off to the public) for a unique private viewing close to Sunrise. The most dramatic and atmospheric way of visiting Stonehenge, you will see the stones in the eerie morning light

Salisbury Cathedral and Medieval City

Afterwards we drive south passed Old Sarum Castle and visit the beautiful medieval city of  Salisbury and explore the magnificent Cathedral crowned with the tallest spire in Britain and built by medieval craftsmen over 750 years ago. See one of the few surviving original texts of the Magna Carta and wander around the picturesque streets of this ancient market town and maybe enjoy a traditional English breakfast*

*food/drink not included

Avebury Prehistoric Stone Circle

As we meander through the countryside to Avebury, we pass famous white horses carved into the chalk hillsides and picturesque, tucked away villages. We explore the mysterious phenomena of crop circles and take a closer look at any which may be in the area.

Avebury, the largest stone circle in Britain and the product of over 500 years of effort by Neolithic man. Enjoy a walking tour of this ancient site and try your hand at the ancient art of dowsing. Prepare to be amazed ! There's also time to explore the charming village of Avebury with its thatched cottages, antiques and village church - and maybe enjoy a cream tea or pint in beer in the Red Lion.

We also see Silbury Hill, Europe's largest prehistoric man-made monument yet forever a mystery, before returning back to the present - London.

This is a very popular tour and must be booked well in advance!
